Last year our we received the shocking news that our friend Michael was about to die. He survived, but as I have written about here, this survival was met with the challenge of having lost his fingers and feet. But he is here and he still gets to be a father to his young son.

This past weekend I received the news that my other very close friend’s husband is in the hospital with a rare form of cancer. I’m praying again for a miracle. I know they happen. So I’ll pray. They’re son deserves one. The all do.
